I grew up in the Northwest, and have always loved the outdoors and photography. Professionally I've worked as a wildlife biologist in Washington and Montana, while always dragging my camera along. Currently I take care of our twin daughters (notice the grey hairs coming in) and teach part-time at a local community college. This gives me [a little] time to pursue my photography and (try) to generate a little income from it.
New for 2010: We'll be moving back to the Puget Sound area soon. I'm currently booking weddings/portraits sessions for this year around the Sound.

Many of my best shots require getting dirty, wet, or both...but I love it! I haven't lost any camera gear yet, but that'll probably change at some point. (In this shot, the water got too deep for me to carry it all in one trip, so... I abandoned my camera and tripod in the middle of this stream while I ferried my other equipment thorugh. It got about waist deep.)
My partners in adventure. Often I'm trying to keep them from rolling off mountain tops or into rivers while I take pictures. So far, I haven't lost one yet!
